Founder & CEO

NELSON OKWONNA

Nelson Okwonna is an author, pharmacist, strategy and development consultant. Nelson is passionate about national development and has contributed to several projects and businesses that impact on increasing aggregate productivity and competitiveness of Nigerian firms and certain public actors. A B.Pharm (Distinction) graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, Nelson is CEO, Octoville Development Company, Nigeria – a development advisory and project management firm with focus on Real Estate Development, MSME competitiveness development, venture financing and common facility center development. Octoville Development Company is a subsidiary of Octopus Venture Capital - a social venture capital firm. Nelson has served for more than 8 years as an Associate with Adam Smith International - a British consultancy firm implementing several DFID Programmes in Nigeria. He is also an Associate for British Council, a British Development Programme and the founding director of Heart and Art Foundation. A nonprofit organization aimed at raising a generation of resourceful individuals in the workplace.

 

As a management consultant, he has provided services to several private and public enterprises in Nigeria on business plan development, strategy, management structure, financial modeling, MSME Cluster Development and Finance amongst others. In the health care and pharmacy space, Nelson has provided Business Advisory and Capacity Building Interventions for private sector firms, including Novartis Pharma Services, Watson Global Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, SS Dental, School Kits Nigeria, Lagos; Pharmanews Limited, Lagos etc.

He has also served as a Training consultant to Pharmanews, MultiPower Engineering Company, Lagos; EverLaw Associates, Abuja; MAFITA/DFID, Kaduna; ENABLE/DFID, Kano; Nexim Bank, Abuja; and a host of medium and large enterprises.

He is currently leading the Kaduna MSME Cluster Development and Access to Finance programme – an MSME development intervention focused on increasing MSME competitiveness and financing. His firm designed and is also leading the development of an ultramodern mechanic village development intervention in the state – a pilot common facility centre development intervention.

Mr. Nelson has attended several trainings and programmes on Leadership, Corporate Governance, Strategy, Management, Development and business management in various Business, and Management Schools/Institutions including Department of Business Administration, University of Lagos and Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.

OMAKWU MARX IKONGBEH ESQ.

Marx; an avid lawyer is a 2007 graduate of the University of Jos, where he obtained his LL. B (Hons). He bagged his B.L at the serene Enugu Campus of the Nigerian Law School located in the idyllic town of Agbani. He was called to the bar and admitted to practice as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 18th Nov. 2008 under the benign but watchful gaze of Elder Simeon Olakunri (SAN).

His formative experience in litigation and corporate practice has matured into a broad interest in areas of law like corporate and business-related law. He has also veered into novel areas such as ICT/Technology Law.

He garnered considerable experience under the pacesetting Ghalib Chambers (Yusuf Ali (SAN) & Co) while serving at different times as Law office clerk and Nigerian Law School extern. He spent his mandatory one-year youth service at the Court of Appeal (Abuja Division) serving as Legal Assistant to Hon. Justice Mary U. Peter-Odili JCA (as she then was).

He is a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) trained international intellectual property practitioner and is a Certified Associate Project Manager (August 2009).

Emmanuel Tarfa has 12+ Years of Strategy Consulting Experience and has over the period advised a mix of over 130 Micro Small, Medium and Corporate Enterprises. He has also become the Go-To-Consultant for Senior officers of leading Public Institutions including State Governments, and Federal MDAs.
Currently, a Partner at Enzo Krypton & Company – a Strategy Consulting Firm based in Lagos Nigeria; Emmanuel co-leads a set of brilliant consultants providing transformational services in: Strategy, Business Process Re-engineering, Organizational Design, Human Capital Management, Operations, Public Policy Formulation, Internal Revenue Generation (IGR) Optimization, Financial Analysis & Modelling, Marketing and Sales.

TEMITOPE SHABA

Temitope is a public policy and management consultant with 16 years hands on experience directing and managing partnerships, corporate social responsibility programs, human resource management, leadership development and strategy interventions.
He has implemented development programmes using the market development (Making Markets Work for the Poor) approach and has facilitated access to market interventions for the poor by promoting inclusive approaches that allows for scaling and sustainability of businesses in various communities.
Temitope is the Programmes Director with Octoville Development Company Limited, a development advisory Project Management Company where he provides Technical Assistance to International Development Partners and other corporate clients. Prior to this, he was an Associate with Adams Smith International for over 9 years – a
British consultancy firm implementing several DFID programmes in Nigeria.

Temitope’s work has supported MSMEs in Agriculture and Manufacturing sectors under DFID’s ENABLE2 programme. He contributed significantly to helping ENABLE2 realize its goals. Before joining ENABLE, Temitope was the Programmes Manager for Electoral Reforms Network (ERN), an organisation-based civil society coalition working on electoral reforms and review of the constitution. His work has contributed significantly to the improved electoral climate in Nigeria. At ERN, Temitope mobilized
resources for legislative advocacy that made inputs to the electoral process legislation through various initiatives.
Temitope Shaba’s core competencies are in Project Management, Strategy, Research, Data management, Capacity building, Institutional Development, Advocacy, Policy Analysis and Engagement. He has managed several projects in partnership with the European Union, USAID, UNDP, British Council, GIZ, British High Commission, Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), DFID and the government of the
Netherlands. As a development professional, he has provided Project Management support to Civil Society Organizations to enable them deliver on their programme objectives.He was the Head of Secretariat for the Electoral Reform Network between 2009-2012.
Temitope has been involved with volunteerism in Nigeria. He gives in-kind and financial support to worthy causes and helps to develop strategies for programme development and fundraising. Some of the organizations that has benefitted from his work include, ACE Charity Africa, Abuja; Teen Guide Africa, Lagos; Nigeria Youth for Christ, Abuja and Destiny’s Child (Orphanage), Lagos.
